Zac Zinger – Fulfillment

Zac Zinger is a talented, award winning multi-instrumentalist  and composer. On his debut album, he has worked in a range of styles, let’s say from Grover Washington to Michael Brecker, with fidelity and imagination. His big innovation is that, besides alto saxophone and EWI, he also blows the Shakuhachithe traditional Japanese bamboo flute, with great success, proving that there are no limits to what can be played on that instrument with those so beautiful sound-colors.
The music of his excellent quartet is really impeccable! It’s a melodic, refined fusion, out of 12 original compositions, where an open tonal feeling meets
the Japanese modality, releasing a “Zen -Jazz  Positiveness”!
The man plays with skillfulness, knowledge and inspiration. Ηis beautiful and well-formed phrases, with a rich sound on all instruments, flow effortlessly and are often impressive!
Zac Zinger (shakuhachi , alto sax, EWI, dizi) plays together with Sharik Hasan (piano), Adam Neely (electric bass), Luke Markham (drums), plus  special guests. You can read more details and listen to/download the album on BANDCAMP
And if, as they say in Japanese tradition, all things have a soul, I bet that now, also Shakuhatchi’s one feels fulfilled! ..
