Το modernjazz.gr συμπλήρωσε τον τέταρτο χρόνο παρουσίας του στο διαδίκτυο και πλέον πλανάται το ερώτημα ποιος είναι ο σοβαρός λόγος για μια ακόμα λίστα με νέες κυκλοφορίες, αφού κι αυτή προβλέπεται απελπιστικά το ίδιο καταπληκτική με τις προηγούμενες.
Θα θεωρήσω αυτές τις αυτοκαταστροφικές τάσεις ίδιον της εποχής και θα τις αντιπαρέλθω, υιοθετώντας τη στάση του παρατηρητή. Το modernjazz.gr είναι κι αυτό καρπός των εξελίξεων, των streaming services και των social media, που, χωρίς να το πολυκαταλάβω, έφεραν την ψηφιακή μου δισκοθήκη, από το PC μου και τα τακτοποιημένα mp3 στον Windows Media Player, στο Web και σε δημόσια θέα, με κύρια χαρακτηριστικά την ελλιπή ακόμα οργάνωση, την αυξημένη κατανάλωση χρόνου και την ανάγκη για συνεχή ενημέρωση.
Στο αισθητικό πεδίο, προκρίνονται οι νέοι καλλιτέχνες και τα στυλ του 21ου αι., χωρίς να παραμελούνται τα μεγάλα ονόματα και οι σχετικές παραγωγές που χρήζουν προσοχής. Αν και δεν διαφαίνεται προς το παρόν κάποια εντελώς καινούργια τάση, η πολυμορφία σώζει την κατάσταση.
O έρωτας όμως κάποτε τελειώνει. Μένει να δούμε πόσο μακριά μπορεί να μας πάει η αγάπη κι η αφοσίωση, ελπίζοντας χωρίς απαγορευτικά σημαντικές παράπλευρες απώλειες. Ας μετέχουμε λοιπόν κι εμείς των πολλά υποσχόμενων ωφελημάτων της πίστης, κι ας ευχηθούμε το Πνεύμα της Τζαζ να έχει κατά νου ότι υπάρχει επιτακτική ανάγκη να γίνει ο κόσμος καλύτερος – Imitonios
