This 46-piece festive October’s playlist was put together specifically for the party organized by modernjazz.gr, on the occasion of its two-year presence on the internet. It was a successful test of how well, even “tough”, tracks can be heard in a club, if they are embedded in a groovy and well-tuned program.
Always with recent releases, never played here before, top-class names, such as Ambrose Akinmushire, Donny McCaslin, Wynton Marsalis and Jeff Lorber, pleasant surprises like trumpeter Nabaté Isles, debuts by pianists James Francies and Connie Han, the rich voice of Champian Fulton and many more tasty and remarkable discoveries, for you to enjoy along the way, on a worldwide jazz tour. Have fun!
