This year modernjazz.gr had no significant relation to the recently announced Grammy nominations in the categories of jazz and related genres. Only four of them took part in our playlists, but the rest of them can be found in the “More New Releases” section, at the end of each modernjazz.gr’s collection.
As always, Recording Academy has honored many “Greats”. Pianist, singer, bandleader Jon Batiste is also a younger nominee who scored 11 nominations in 7 fields, and seems capable of carrying on such a large music tradition. The final awards will be given on January 31, 2022.
Find below a playlist with 47 tracks (15 in the light version), in the order they are listed in this convenient, “copy/paste ready” guide that follows. Happy listening!
